01

Australian market access

Neboda works with manufacturers under two arrangements, and they can run together or separately.

Procurement and sourcing. We connect Australian project buyers with the right manufacturer for the application. Because we carry no inventory, we have no stock to clear and no reason to push a product that does not suit the job. Buyers get a genuine recommendation. Manufacturers get demand that is already qualified.

Market development. For partners who engage us on this basis, we actively build the market: identifying live projects, opening relationships with developers, asset owners and contractors and generating qualified leads for your products. This is a paid engagement rather than commission only, because establishing a brand in a new market takes sustained effort before the first order lands.

Most partnerships begin with the first and grow into the second.

02

Compliance-first product assessment

Australia is a standards-driven market, and international certification is not the same as Australian approval. A product that sells well elsewhere can be unsellable here. We work that out before it reaches a customer, because getting it wrong damages your brand as much as ours.

What we check:

Safety certification. IEC 62619 for battery systems, UL 1973 where it applies and the CB certificates underneath them.

Australian standards. AS/NZS 5139 for battery installations, AS/NZS 4777.1 and 4777.2 for grid-connected inverters, AS/NZS 4509 for stand-alone systems and SA TS 5398 where relevant.

Regulatory registration. EESS registration and RCM marking, both mandatory for electrical equipment sold here.

Clean Energy Council listing. CEC listing determines eligibility for federal and state incentives. For battery storage this is decisive: a product that is not CEC listed cannot access the federal battery rebate, which changes its competitiveness overnight.

Support on the ground. Warranty terms, spare parts availability and who picks up the phone when a unit fails on a remote site.

Where a product falls short, we will say so and set out what the pathway looks like. That conversation is better had early. A summary of Australian compliance requirements for energy storage products is available in the compliance overview on the Resources page.

03

Target markets

Australia is our primary market, with Queensland the strongest focus. The state is moving through a decade of investment across renewable generation, grid-scale storage, microgrids, mining electrification and industrial decarbonisation, and much of it needs equipment that is not yet contracted.

The buyers we work with span commercial and industrial sites, developers and asset owners, mining and remote operations, government and critical infrastructure and residential through installer channels.

We also work across New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and South East Asia, including Indonesia and the Philippines. Each has its own compliance regime and commercial norms, and we treat them separately rather than assuming an Australian approval carries across.

How to start a conversation

If you manufacture energy storage, solar, power electronics or related equipment and are weighing up Australia, get in touch using the form below.

Helpful to include:

  • Product datasheets and your current certification status
  • Any existing Australian presence, partners or distributors
  • The cooperation models you are open to, whether project supply, channel partnership or OEM

We will come back with a straight assessment of where your products sit against Australian requirements, what would need to change and what a working partnership could look like. No obligation either way.
